The
8931K Electronic Ignition System (often associated with the
Lectric Limited Breakerless SE or similar conversion kits) is designed to fit a wide range of
General Motors (GM) vehicles manufactured between
1957 and 1974.
These kits are specifically engineered for GM engines originally equipped with Delco-Remy V8 distributors that feature a "windowed" style distributor cap, a screw-on rotor, and external breaker points.
Compatible Vehicles (Pre-2002)
Since
this system is a retrofit for older point-style distributors, it is
primarily used for classic vehicles from the late 1950s through the
mid-1970s. By 1975, GM transitioned to the High Energy Ignition (HEI)
system as standard equipment.

- GTO / LeMans / Tempest: 1964–1974 V8 models.
- Firebird / Trans Am: 1967–1974 V8 models.
- Bonneville / Catalina: 1957–1974 V8 models.
- Oldsmobile
- Cutlass / 442: 1964–1974 V8 models.
- 88 / 98 / Starfire: 1957–1974 V8 models.
- Buick
- Skylark / GS: 1964–1974 V8 models.
- LeSabre / Electra / Riviera: 1957–1974 V8 models.
- Cadillac
- DeVille / Eldorado / Fleetwood: 1957–1974 models with Delco V8 distributors.
Critical Fitment Requirements
To ensure this fits your specific vehicle, your distributor must meet these criteria:
- Engine Type: Must be a GM V8 engine.
- Distributor Brand: Must be a Delco-Remy unit.
- Cap Style: Must have the "windowed" distributor cap (the small sliding metal door used to adjust points while the engine is running).
- Rotor: Must use a screw-on rotor, not a press-fit one.

About Toohey Parts collection
These parts came from an
abandoned warehouse in Louisville Kentucky, after G.W. Toohey closed his 15
parts stores in the Kentucky area in 2001
We collected and shipped close to
200,000.00 new and reman N.O.S. parts from this Warehouse.
The Toohey parts stores were
closed in 2001 and the parts we have for sale are all new or remanufactured
parts from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
The net proceeds from these parts
go to the non-profit foundation in the efforts to fund our goals and help older
and future motorheads

About Shipping and Handling
We are not some big Corp. That can
afford to offer free shipping or free boxes and tape. Every time you purchase a
item from us. A true motorhead pulls the part, wraps it for safe shipping and
boxes the part.
This all cost money. so we use terms like box
rate A, B, or C
This is because some things are easy to ship and
other take a lot of time.
We charge a handling fee accordingly.
Between 2.50 and 25.00 (large bulky items)
As we work to make our store front better, we will
be offering other shipping companies
But at this time we only offer UPS shipping service
