The part number
2811 (often associated with brands like
Murray Temperature Control or
Hayden Automotive) is primarily identified as a
Severe Duty Thermal Fan Clutch
rather than a standalone A/C clutch pulley in most automotive
databases. However, in the context of A/C components, the "2811"
designation often refers to
, which is a comprehensive A/C compressor and component kit.
For a "2811" component fitting pre-2002 vehicles with a double pulley (2-groove) configuration, the fitment generally covers heavy-duty or older Ford and GM truck applications.
Ford Applications (Pre-2002)
Double-pulley A/C systems were common on Ford's medium and heavy-duty trucks from the late 1980s through the early 2000s.
- Ford F-650 / F-750 (2000–2003): Fits models with 5.9L, 7.2L, and 7.3L Diesel engines.
- Ford E-Series Van (1989–1996): Specifically the Ford E-150, Ford E-250, and Ford E-350.
- Ford F-Series Trucks (1989–1995): Includes the Ford F-150 and Ford F-250.
- Ford Explorer (1991–2001): Various trims using specific compressor styles like the York or FS10.
General Motors & Other Applications (Pre-2002)
The "2811" fan clutch or related double-groove pulleys are frequently listed for GM's older heavy-duty cooling systems.
- Chevrolet / GMC C/K Trucks (1990–2000): Fits many 2500 and 3500 series trucks with large-displacement engines.
- Jeep Grand Cherokee (1999–2001): WJ series models with the 4.0L engine.
- Jeep Wrangler (2000–2001): TJ series models with the 4.0L engine.
York Compressors
: This double-groove pulley is a common replacement part for many universal York A/C Compressors
used in aftermarket or heavy-duty retrofits.
