The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor with part number
9206267 (interchanged with
FILKO MAP-3 and
Standard Motor Products AS7) primarily fits a wide range of
Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth vehicles from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s.

Technical Notes
- Identification: The part is often listed as a 3-pin sensor, which includes pins for power (5V reference), ground, and signal.
- Symptoms of Failure: If this sensor is failing, you may experience a rough idle, poor fuel economy, engine stalling, or a "Check Engine" light.
- Interchange Part Numbers: Besides
MAP-3
(FILKO) and 9206267
(OEM), this part is also equivalent to AS7 (Standard Motor Products)
FILKO MAP-3 (OEM
16006836) is a 1-bar Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. It was standard equipment on a vast range of
General Motors (Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, and Pontiac) vehicles from the early 1980s through the late 1990s.
Primary Vehicle Applications (Pre-2002)
This sensor is most commonly found in vehicles with Fuel Injection (TBI or PFI) systems during these years:
- Chevrolet
- Camaro: 1982–2002 (select engines)
- Cavalier: 1982–1997
- Corvette: 1982–1996
- S10 / Blazer / Tahoe / Suburban: 1985–1999
- Silverado / Sierra (Trucks): 1985–1998
- Caprice / Impala / Monte Carlo: 1980–1996
- Buick
- Century / Regal / LeSabre: 1982–1998
- Skylark / Skyhawk: 1982–1998
- Riviera / Roadmaster: 1982–1996
- GMC
- Jimmy / Sonoma / Yukon: 1985–1999
- Safari Van: 1985–1995
- Oldsmobile & Pontiac
- Cutlass / Delta 88 / 98: 1982–1996
- Firebird / Grand Am / Grand Prix: 1982–1998
Critical Identification Details
- Pressure Rating: This is a 1-bar sensor,
meaning it is designed for naturally aspirated
(non-turbo/non-supercharged) engines. Using it on a turbocharged vehicle
(which typically requires a 2-bar or 3-bar sensor) will cause
significant engine issues.
- OEM Part Number: Directly interchanges with GM part 16006836 and 16137039.
Both the Filko MAP-3 (OEM 9206267) and the Tomco 18000 are direct interchanges for the same General Motors manifold absolute pressure sensor. They are both 1-bar sensors commonly used in naturally aspirated GM engines from the early 1980s through the late 1990s.
Compatibility Overview
The Tomco 18000 matches the application list for your original part, fitting vehicles such as:
- Chevrolet: Camaro, Corvette, Cavalier, S10, Silverado (1982–1990s)
- GMC: Sonoma, Yukon, Jimmy, Safari (1985–1999)
- Pontiac: Firebird, Grand Prix, Grand Am (1982–1998)
- Oldsmobile/Buick: Cutlass, Regal, LeSabre (1980s–1990s)
Key Specifications
