Based on industry interchange data
Sorensen vacuum control listings, the VC-319 and VC-566
are vacuum advance controls primarily designed for older General Motors
vehicles, typically featuring V8 engines with HEI (High Energy
Ignition)
or conventional distributors,
spanning pre-2010 models (mostly
1970s–1980s).
Sorensen VC-319 (Vacuum Advance Control)
This unit is widely listed for Chevrolet/GM V8 engines, often used with 305, 350, and 400 cubic inch engines.

- Applications: Often used in distributor assemblies found on 1975–1985 Chevrolet Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, Suburban, C10/C20, and G-series vans.
Sorensen VC-566 (Vacuum Advance Control)
This
unit often interchanges with other VC series units for similar GM
applications, including high-performance and standard distributor
setups.
- General Motors (Chevy/GMC): Applications are generally interchangeable with the VC-319 and VC-300 series.
- Common Usage: Fits GM passenger cars and light-duty trucks (1974–1988) equipped with 350ci (5.7L), 400ci (6.6L), and 454ci (7.4L) engines.

GP Sorensen or
Standard Motor Products brands), these parts primarily fit American-made vehicles from the 1960s through the early 1990s.
